Ready or Not!
Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:13).
There's an easy-to-miss pattern throughout the Bible: God rarely waits for people to feel ready before He calls them to move. From Abraham to Paul, the Bible is filled with stories of people who, despite feeling unprepared, summoned the courage to act.
Moses wasn't ready when God told him to lead Israel out of Egypt. He argued, made excuses, and pointed out his flaws. But God didn't ask if he was confident—He asked if he was willing.
David wasn't ready to face Goliath by human standards. He was a boy with a sling, standing against a seasoned warrior. But David moved anyway, trusting not in his strength but in the strength of the One who sent him.
Mary wasn't ready to carry the Savior of the world. She was young, unknown, and facing a future filled with uncertainty. Yet her answer was simple: "Let it be to me according to your word."
In every case, it wasn't about being ready. It was about being available. Your willingness and availability make you integral to God's plan. Willing hearts change history. God doesn't call the qualified—He qualifies the called.
If you wait until you feel prepared, you might wait your whole life. But remember, faith isn't about having all the answers. It's about trusting the One who does and His plan for you.
Ready or not, when the call comes, it's not a matter of if but when. When it does, the only real answer is to say yes.
Be determined, be committed, and say yes to God's call.
