We have spent the last three weeks reclaiming our authority and acknowledging the breaker identity, which signifies our role in breaking free from generational curses and living in the freedom Christ has given us. In this final week, I encourage you to remain consistent with your decision and declaration. Your identity of being the breaker and doing the work of the breaker must align so that you can see the manifestation of freedom. Although you have the power within you, the source of the power is not you.
You can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13).
Curses are Satan's legal right to sabotage our success and future. But here's the good news- Christ has redeemed us from the law's curse. He became a curse so we didn't have to live with and under the curse. His sacrifice is our hope, our light in the darkness. What He did is how I deal with what I have done, and it's how you can overcome the curses in your life, too.
Hearing real-life stories of those who have broken generational curses can inspire and encourage. There are several curses and cycles in my natural bloodline, such as poverty, sickness, sexual abuse, and addiction, to name a few. The word of God educates you and equips you to recognize and overcome generational curses.
High blood pressure and diabetes are two conditions that are prevalent on both my maternal and paternal sides of the family. I made a conscious decision that this would not be my fate. I didn't just declare they had run in my family until they ran into me. I took proactive steps to prevent the sickness. I changed my diet, committed to weight loss, and embraced a healthy lifestyle.
Help God Help You!
This is the power of personal action, and it's within your reach, too.
Modern testimonies, such as those of individuals overcoming addiction, financial struggles, or broken relationships through God's grace and perseverance, remind us that cycles can be broken. These stories testify to the power of God's restoration. If you feel trapped in a generational pattern, remember: with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). The curse can end with you.
